Alien Shooter 2 – Vengeance

Alien Shooter 2: Vengeance is a top-down shooter video game developed and released by Sigma Team in 2007. The game was developed by the same company that developed the original Alien Shooter. This sequel to the original game adds new levels and gameplay mechanics. In addition, it has more than 20 different aliens and three unique game modes.

Reloaded version

The Reloaded version of Alien Shooter 2 is a remake of the original game. The remade version adds new levels and simplifies the role-playing system. Initially, the game was made to become a shareware title. This resulted in the game being just 400 Mb in size. It also has less music and features no multiplayer.

Players no longer need to learn different skills to use different weapon types. The game now has 17 complete levels. As a result, it offers the same great gameplay as its original version but with better graphics and effects.

New game mode

The new game mode, dubbed “Vengeance”, features a new play method. In this mode, you’ll take down different monsters inside of levels. There are also mission-based objectives that you must complete to progress. For example, you can get money by destroying enemy vials, increasing your experience.

While the original Alien Shooter had only nine weapons, the new game features 50. It also has two new survival modes, stand firm and campaign. The campaign mode is similar to the original, but the stand-firm method is unique. This mode will let you battle against hundreds of enemies on a single screen.

Alien Shooter 2 is a top-down shooter with RPG elements. In the game, players must clear waves of hostile aliens. The game features a variety of weapons and different skill levels. Players can also level up their Sentry as they progress through the game.

RPG gameplay elements

If you enjoyed Alien Shooter, you’d surely enjoy Alien Shooter 2. The game offers RPG gameplay elements such as a story and different kinds of enemies. Moreover, there are fifty types of weapons to choose from and three modes of gameplay: arcade, one-person army, and RPG. To advance in the game, you need to complete different missions.

As the title suggests, the gameplay combines RPG elements and top-down shooters. The game starts in a grim, gritty world with dozens of gut-ripping weapons and an RPG-inspired skill tree. The soundtrack and sound design are reminiscent of the original Alien Shooter games.

Additional levels

If you liked the original Alien Shooter game, you would love the new additional levels included in the remade version of the game. You can customize your character with new weapons and abilities. The game also has a new campaign to complete. It follows the life of a recruit of the M.A.G.M.A corporation.

The game’s enemies are familiar from Alien Shooter, but now you can select different ones. The new enemies include a flying zombie, an old hag, and a hulking beast. The other enemies are the Alien Shooter 2 versions of the same creatures. You can also choose which perk to upgrade, which increases your experience, or money drops. This new feature is helpful if you’re bored with the same old enemies in Alien Shooter 2.

Additional levels in Alien Shooter 2 add new enemies, weapons, and game modes. Powered Armor is a unique power-up, but it can make you look like a walking tank. You can also find an invincibility power-up dropped by enemies. Another interesting weapon is the Pancor Jackhammer. This shotgun looks like a Benelli pump gun and is one of the rarest weapons in the game. It later reappears in the sequels as a mid-tier shotgun.

Differences from Zombie Shooter

Alien Shooter 2 is a top-down shooter game with some RPG elements. In the game, you play as General Baker, who is the head of the Magma corporation. A failed experiment at the facility led to an infestation of human-killing aliens, and General Baker called on you to help him protect the facility.

The first game in the series, Alien Shooter, came out in 2003. It had a lot of RPG elements and added eight characters to the game. However, it did remove voiceovers and simplified its leveling system. Afterward, the game was released Alien Shooter 2: Revisited in 2009. The game features an increased number of levels and a new game mode. Players no longer have to level up individual skills to survive; they can now equip special abilities immediately.

Another significant difference between Alien Shooter 2 and Zombie Shooter, is the weapons. In Alien Shooter 2, you can carry the slow-firing Plasma gun and a Magma Minigun. The game introduces new enemies like the flying zombie and the hulking beast. However, you may find the game stale if you’ve already played the first game in the series.
